“Do you do ceilidhs?” people ask us all the time at Brown Boots gigs. Although rooted in traditional dance music, Brown Boots is a concert duo, with tunes stripped apart, mocked and re-worked for cheeky listening.
But what if we took that mad Brown Boots humour, combined our deep understanding of how great dance music works and gushed an enormous oozing of schmaltzy satire all over it?
We knew just the people for the job. Match up Brown Boots with the indecorous Will Chamberlain on piano and the indomitable Paul Quarry on drums, and the resulting mischievous madness is relentless. And brilliant.
